This is a one of a kind piece of wearable art made for the Five and Diamond Tenth Annual Headgear Art Show and shown on June 17, 2022.

"Heartfire" is a miss velvet cream Black Rock City / Playa femme bridal ensemble. The heart is aflame, the head is aflame. When we are the bride, what do we arrive for? What promise do we make? What is your dream? What is your lover? What is our collective dreaming? What is our love together? All feelings all dreams and flame poured into this femme headpiece / veil set / capelet / "skirt" headgear combination set. Entirely handmade by artist Scatha G. Allison, this one of a kind femme ensemble is a direct match to the MVC "Dreamwarrior" art piece for the Burning Man x Sotheby's Boundless Space Auction in November 2021. "Heartfire" is an explosion of RED in texture in volume in space. The headpiece is made with gold linen, gold D-ring with leather straps, bias tape, red and gold metallic embroidery appliques, red feathers stitched over with red wool, and gauze roses. Attached at the temples and crown on sterling silver chain are vintage silver charms, and chunks of red coral suspended and floating around the face and chest. The veil set is stitched onto bias tape with black elastic ties, for a formal ceremony, floral lace with rose appliques is worn to the front, the red mesh is worn to cover the back of the head. The net and rose appliqued capelet / "skirt" can be worn high and tight at the neck, creating a cocooning cloud of glowing red fog around the body, with roses hovering. As a "skirt" it makes a floating half-train of red dreams and roses dancing on the hips. Spread your favorite scent on the piece to make the red mist explode into multiple sensations for yourself and everyone around you. All handmade with my love and wishes, machine and hand stitched, miss velvet cream neocouture. MVC was founded in 2003 in San Francisco, and remains fiercely independent, handmade, one of a kind, upcycled, vintage remake, custom artwear clothing from artist and designer Scatha G. Allison.
