This is a one of a kind piece of wearable art made for the Five and Diamond Tenth Annual Headgear Art Show and shown on June 17, 2022.

ABOUT THE PIECE:

  • La Santa Muerte, also known as Santisima Muerte was believed to protect souls residing in the dark underworld. A personification of death, she is associated with healing, protection, and safe delivery to the afterlife by her devotees.
  • Purple Lace
  • Lights Up

MATERIALS USED :

  • Soldered wireframe, lace, pearls, crystals, metal chain, suede, faux skull, faux horns, embedded white LED lights, textile & pigment painted. Hand sewn with thermal bonded wiring.

WEARING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Hold headpiece face down. Slide back elastic onto head (if you have a long hair - recommended to put in a ponytail and then pull over the top of the elastic). Tighten elastic to comfort. Ribbon at sides can be pulled through the hoops at back and then tied for a tighter fit.
