This is a one of a kind piece of wearable art made for the Five and Diamond Eighth Annual Headgear Art Show and shown on June 12, 2020.

"I have always been in love with magic, mythos & fashion.
As an interdisciplinary artist & esoteric enthusiast, I found myself creating fantastical worlds through textiles, visual art & ritual.

In 1998, I launched my first Head Dress line. Little did I know this exploration & creative obsession would lead me to create multiple lines for bellydancers, theatre troupes, and ceremonialist alike. I have & continue to make all of my own costumery, often manifesting my dream team of Creative Visionary models & photographers to fully bring the pieces of wearable art to life.

Many of my materials are vintage &/or from recycled elements including objects from the natural world, gracefully merging couture with meaningful talismans. All work is inspired by the feminine divine throughout the ages, evoking a strong sense of nostalgia for the classic age of interlacing art with ritual.

Natural cycles of animals are honored and collected for wisdom. No harm to animals or use of hired taxidermy was used in creating such artifacts. All my headdresses are created with intention focusing on mythic & archetypal energy. Each piece is hand sewn and one-of-a-kind, created to empower & inspire the as ritual adornment."

MATERIALS USED

Professional hat millinery base, wire, antique beads & brass coins, sequins, a Cat skull, hand made medallions, leather, satin, velvet, and faux cloth hand painted feathers.

WEARING INSTRUCTIONS

Sits on the top head with an elastic headband to adjust the size. You may bend the faux feathers for transport but wants to shoot straight up when wearing. The beads and skull are very fragile. So always place on a display head or in box when not wearing.

All headgear sales are final. Due to the unique nature of these works of art, coupon codes will not be accepted.
