Queen of Ordo by Darmara / HEADGEAR V
This headpiece is inspired by the female hats of the old Mongolian Ordo tribe. The married woman, and especially the mother of the male children, was very appreciative and wealthy. While the husbands were hunting, fighting and property enlargement, Ordo's wife was the head of the house as the chief administrator of the entire property. They wore luxurious caps of felt or leather with a plenty of corals and turquoise sewn on it. A lot of silver parts and swabs on the front and back were sewn on long strips. This modern version of Ordo cap is made of natural leather, a braid (chain) that goes around the head and has a cross on top of head - giving the appearance of a stylized crown. Lot of details were printed by hand, with hanging glass beads and black agate all around. Hanging long leather straps fall down, with black agate sewn on it. They are connected by thin chains which makes a luxurious veil. Queen of Ordo is an avant-garde reflection of tradition, the richness of detail, the subtlety of women, and their spiritual power back in the days and now.
