This is a one of a kind piece of wearable art made for the Five and Diamond Ninth Annual Headgear Art Show and shown on June 18, 2021.

I'm an artist and wearables designer currently based in Las Vegas. Taking inspiration from nature and future, my work fuses innovative materials and technologies with classic design techniques to create unique garments for extraordinary environments.

MATERIALS USED

Leather, wire, spandex, acrylic paint, Swarovski crystals, 12V white LEDs


WEARING INSTRUCTIONS

There are LED lights embedded in the "crown" of the piece and the ear loops. They are powered by one 9V battery in each of the boxes over the ears. To turn on the LEDs open the boxes with the velcro flaps at the top and plug in one battery on each side. I have included an extra battery in each box, but I suggest removing the extras when you wear the piece because they're a little heavy. There is a leather strap on the back of the piece that is adjustable. I suggest wearing the piece with the strap just below the base of your skull for the most secure fit.
