This is a one of a kind piece of wearable art made for the Five and Diamond Tenth Annual Headgear Art Show and shown on June 17, 2022.

Excavated from the deep and wrought with alchemical curiosity. I imagine I found this headpiece 20,000 leagues under the sea in a burial treasure chest of a mermaid queen.

MATERIALS USED

Copper sheet, copper wire, sterling silver wire, brass chain, old coins, patina, matte sealant.

WEARING INSTRUCTIONS

This piece should be stored on a head form or in a cloth bag. It can get wet as it’s patina is completely sealed. It is worn with the convex side of the coins facing out but could certainly be worn concave as well.
